English Shepherd Farm Puppies!

 Once again we have puppies on Heritage hill farm! 11 little rolly polly English Shepherd/ Rough collie pups, from Eva (Dam) and Aiden (Sire) 5 sable, and 6 tricolor, 5 boys, and 6 girls.

New Calf!

We have a new friend on our farm, a steer calf. :) His name is Joey, or as mom  wants to call him: Sloppy jo's (named after the food) Joey is 2 months old we bought him from a homestead farmer like us.  He is the most calm, friendly, tolerant calf I've ever met, I love him. we gave Joey a bath, and I rubbed him dry with a towel which he stood perfectly still for. he's curious, soft, young, and will be the best little steer around.

I rode in the back of our SUV with Joey, he lay down the entire ride!

Winter is coming!

WOW! The year goes by so fast, my last post was on the first bits of Fall and now it will be winter in a few days. I think that's just crazy, but I'll enjoy the cold while I can. :p

Icy crystals appear almost every morning now. 

Frosted Leaves

I've seen deer 3 times this late fal

I found my first Frost Flower!

 Fat sheep with their thick, wool coats 

Mists cover the low land

Glass beads hung as ornaments for the trees 

to see a Barred owl is a rare sight

The first few days of Fall~

I love all the seasons, and they all come at the right time; once I'm ready for a change it is soon to be another season. Some people say that winter is long, but I think that it stays just the right amount of time here in the Ozarks. :)

Here are the first few days of Fall.

Fluffy seeds pop open everywhere 

the skies are mystical

our willow tree is the only tree to have changed color so far

big, bright harvest moons

turtles seek shelter for the witner

some leaves turn bright colors, the most common color here is yellow, seeing this brilliant red leaf made me happy

abandoned spider webs flow in the wind

now that it's cool outside we go on many bike rides after school

the chickens slow their egg production as they start to molt

Gold finchs have their winter colors, and will soon fly in search of warmer weather

Berries ripen evrey where

bright moss shows up better as the world around it turns brown 

Oh, the Lillies of the field.

I love surprise lillies! (and most any other flower. :p)

~ I Love My Home~

I love my home, the Ozarks, the hills, the forest, and my animals. I am so grateful for this beautiful world, that god created for me. :) Day, or night, all year round, this is the best place to grow up in.

My pet PIG Sweet Pea

Sweet Pea is my pig, she is a Hampshire. I love Sweet Pea very much, she is 3 and a half months old, July is the time she gets sent back to heaven (or in other words butched). I bought her when she was 4 weeks old, I wanted a younger pig, but she has come a long way from wild to tame. :) Sweet Pea sleeps in the back of the barn, and in the morning I walk her over to the pig pen outside. she gets 3 meals a day, and her favorite treats are boiled eggs, cat\daog food, and any type of meat.
